WHAT IS CONFIRMATION?
Confirmation, along with Baptism and Holy Communion is one of the sacraments of Initiation. Confirmation is the Sacrament by which we receive the Holy Spirit in a special way.
WHAT IS CONFIRMATION FOR CHILDREN?
Children of Saint Mary Magdalen Parish are confirmed in the 7th or 8th grade; the date is determined in conjunction with the Chancery Office on the basis of availability of the Bishops of the Archdiocese. If your child does not attend St. Mary Magdalen School, he or she can still receive the Sacrament of Confirmation by enrolling in our Family Faith Formation program. For more information, please contact Pamela Bruce at [email protected] or 314-961-8400 x104.
WHAT IS CONFIRMATION FOR ADULTS?
Adults can arrange to be confirmed by contacting the rectory at 314-961-8400. Private instructions or a Confirmation Class for Adults will be arranged prior to the reception of the Sacrament.
